GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
- Choose the location: Select a site receiving 6–8 hours of sunlight daily with deep, loose, well-draining soil.
- Prepare the soil: Remove stones, clumps, and debris to create a fine seedbed that allows roots to develop straight and evenly.
- Sow the seeds: Direct sow approximately ¼ inch deep in early spring or late summer. Avoid transplanting carrots.
- Maintain moisture: Keep the upper soil consistently moist during germination. Seeds typically emerge within 10–21 days.
- Thin the seedlings: Thin established seedlings to approximately 2–3 inches apart for proper root development.
- Provide sunlight: Maintain full sun where possible. Light partial shade may be tolerated in warmer conditions.
- Water consistently: Provide regular, even moisture while roots develop. Avoid extreme wet-to-dry fluctuations.
- Harvest the carrots: Harvest approximately 70–80 days after sowing, or once roots reach the desired size and deep-purple coloration.
