GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
- Prepare the Soil: Choose fertile, well-draining soil enriched with compost or well-decomposed organic matter.
- Sow the Seeds: Plant seeds approximately 0.5–1 cm deep in seed-starting mix or directly in prepared garden soil.
- Choose the Season: Grow broccoli during cool weather, typically in spring or fall depending on local conditions.
- Provide Sunlight: Select a location receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
- Water Regularly: Keep soil consistently moist, particularly while plants are establishing and forming heads.
- Transplant Seedlings: If started indoors, transplant sturdy seedlings outdoors after they develop several true leaves and conditions are suitably cool.
- Space the Plants: Maintain approximately 45–60 cm between plants to provide adequate room and airflow.
- Maintain the Plants: Keep the growing area relatively weed-free and maintain consistent moisture as heads develop.
- Harvest: Cut the main broccoli head while the flower buds are still compact and tightly closed; harvest side shoots later if they develop.
