Green Long Squash Seeds – Vegetable Garden Variety

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare the Soil: Choose fertile, loose, well-draining soil enriched with compost or well-decomposed organic matter.
2. Sow the Seeds: Plant seeds approximately 2–2.5 cm deep directly outdoors after frost danger has passed and the soil has warmed.
3. Maintain Warmth: Keep soil temperatures around 21–35°C (70–95°F) for favorable germination and early growth.
4. Provide Sunlight: Select a location receiving at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
5. Water Regularly: Keep soil consistently moist, particularly during flowering and fruit development, without allowing it to become waterlogged.
6. Thin Seedlings: Retain the strongest seedlings after germination to provide adequate growing space.
7. Space the Plants: Maintain approximately 60–90 cm between plants for healthy development and good airflow.
8. Maintain the Plants: Mulch around plants where appropriate to conserve soil moisture and help keep developing fruits away from wet soil.
9. Harvest: Pick squash when fruits are appropriately sized, green, firm, and still tender for the best culinary quality.
