GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare the Seeds: Soak goji berry seeds in clean, lukewarm water for approximately 12–24 hours before sowing to help hydrate them.
2. Prepare the Growing Medium: Fill trays or small containers with a loose, fertile, well-draining seed-starting mix and moisten it evenly before planting.
3. Sow the Seeds: Plant seeds shallowly, approximately 0.5 cm deep, and lightly cover them with fine growing medium.
4. Provide Warmth: Maintain temperatures around 20–25°C (68–77°F) to encourage consistent germination and healthy early seedling development.
5. Maintain Moisture: Keep the growing medium consistently moist but never waterlogged, using gentle watering or misting when necessary.
6. Provide Light: After seedlings emerge, provide bright light and gradually increase their exposure to direct sunlight as they become established.
7. Transplant Seedlings: Move established seedlings into individual containers once they develop several true leaves and are large enough to handle safely.
8. Plant Outdoors: Transplant into a sunny, well-draining location after severe frost danger has passed, spacing plants approximately 1.2–1.8 m apart.
9. Maintain the Bushes: Water regularly during establishment, mulch around the root zone, and prune mature shrubs as needed to encourage manageable, productive growth.
10. Harvest Carefully: Harvest only fully ripe, correctly identified goji berries; seed-grown plants are genetically variable, so fruit size, flavor, productivity, and other characteristics may differ from the parent plant.
