Katola Spiny Gourd Seeds – Heirloom Non-GMO Indian Vegetable Seeds

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Choose the location: Select a warm site receiving at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily with enough room for climbing vines.
2. Prepare the soil: Use fertile, loose, well-draining soil enriched with compost or well-aged organic matter.
3. Prepare the seeds: Soak seeds in warm water for 12–24 hours before sowing to help soften the hard seed coat and encourage germination.
4. Sow the seeds: Plant approximately ½–1 inch deep after temperatures have warmed, keeping the growing medium consistently moist.
5. Allow for germination: Maintain warm conditions while seeds establish. Germination can be slow and variable, often taking around 15–30 days or longer.
6. Space and support vines: Allow approximately 3–5 feet between plants and provide a sturdy trellis or fence for climbing growth.
7. Water consistently: Keep the root zone evenly moist during active vine growth, flowering, and fruit development without saturating the soil.
8. Harvest young fruits: Pick Katola while the fruits are young, green, and tender for the best texture and culinary quality.
