GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
- Choose a Location: Select a sunny location receiving at least 6 hours of sunlight daily. Petunias can tolerate some partial shade but bloom best with plenty of light.
- Prepare the Soil: Use fertile, loose, well-draining soil enriched with organic matter. For containers, choose a quality potting mix.
- Sow the Seeds: Scatter seeds on the soil surface and press them gently into the soil. Avoid covering deeply because Petunia seeds benefit from light for germination.
- Water Gently: Mist or water carefully to keep the growing medium consistently moist without disturbing the tiny seeds.
- Provide Warmth: Maintain moderate warmth and good light during germination. Seedlings should emerge within approximately 7–14 days.
- Thin Seedlings: Once seedlings develop several true leaves, thin or transplant them, allowing approximately 8–12 inches of growing space.
- Provide Care: Water regularly when the soil surface begins to dry and feed periodically with a balanced flower fertilizer during active growth.
- Encourage Blooms: Remove faded flowers regularly to keep plants tidy and encourage continued flowering throughout the season.
