Purple Fava Bean Seeds – Heirloom Non-GMO Broad Bean Vegetable

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

• 1. Prepare the soil: Choose fertile, well-draining soil in a sunny location.
• 2. Sow seeds: Plant seeds approximately 1–2 inches deep directly in the garden.
• 3. Space plants: Place seeds about 6–9 inches apart, with 18–24 inches between rows.
• 4. Water: Keep soil evenly moist during germination and flowering, avoiding waterlogged conditions.
• 5. Provide sunlight: Grow in full sun for best production; partial shade can work in warmer climates.
• 6. Support plants: Taller plants may benefit from light staking or support, especially in windy locations.
• 7. Feed carefully: Avoid excessive nitrogen fertilizer, as fava beans fix nitrogen naturally.
• 8. Harvest fresh beans: Pick pods when they are young and plump for tender beans.
• 9. Harvest mature beans: Allow pods to mature on the plant if you want larger or dried beans.
