GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare the Seeds: Soak seeds in clean water for approximately 12–24 hours before stratification to help hydrate them before sowing.
2. Cold Stratify: Mix seeds with lightly moist sterile medium and refrigerate for approximately 4–12 weeks to help overcome natural dormancy.
3. Prepare the Soil: Fill trays or containers with fertile, loose, well-draining seed-starting mix and lightly moisten it before planting.
4. Sow the Seeds: Plant seeds shallowly, approximately 0.5–1 cm deep, and lightly cover them with fine growing medium.
5. Maintain Moisture: Keep the growing medium consistently moist during germination without allowing it to become saturated or waterlogged.
6. Provide Light: After seedlings emerge, provide bright light and gradually increase exposure to direct sunlight as the young plants develop.
7. Transplant Carefully: Move established seedlings into individual containers and later transplant outdoors once they are strong enough and weather conditions are suitable.
8. Choose the Location: Select a spacious location with well-draining soil and adequate sunlight, allowing room for the tree's future canopy and root development.
9. Maintain Young Trees: Water regularly during establishment, mulch around the root zone without touching the trunk, and prune as necessary to develop a balanced structure.
10. Allow Trees to Mature: Seed-grown mulberries are genetically variable, so fruit color, size, sweetness, growth habit, and time to fruiting can differ among individual trees.
