Stocks Double Dwarf Matthiola Ten Week Mixed Flower Seeds – Fragrant Blooms

 GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Choose the Location: Select a site with full sun to partial shade and fertile, well-drained soil.
2. Prepare the Soil: Loosen the soil and incorporate compost if needed. Avoid areas where water collects.
3. Sow the Seeds: Sow seeds about 1/8 inch deep and cover lightly with fine soil.
4. Choose the Timing: For spring flowers, start seeds indoors several weeks before the last frost or sow outdoors when conditions are suitable. In mild climates, fall sowing can provide spring blooms.
5. Water Gently: Keep the soil evenly moist during germination without making it soggy.
6. Provide Suitable Temperatures: Cool to moderate growing conditions are preferred for healthy development and flowering.
7. Thin Seedlings: Once seedlings are established, thin them to approximately 6–9 inches apart.
8. Transplant Carefully: If started indoors, harden seedlings gradually before transplanting outdoors.
9. Maintain Moisture: Water regularly during dry periods while allowing excess water to drain freely.
10. Harvest Blooms: Cut flowering stems when the lower flowers begin to open for attractive, fragrant bouquets.
