Thai Extra Long Sponge Gourd Seeds – Heirloom Non-GMO Asian Vegetable Seeds

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Choose the location: Select a warm location receiving at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight each day.

2. Prepare the soil: Use fertile, well-draining soil enriched with compost or well-aged organic matter for vigorous vine growth.

3. Sow the seeds: Plant seeds approximately ½–1 inch deep after the soil has warmed and all danger of frost has passed.

4. Keep evenly moist: Water gently after planting and maintain consistent moisture during germination, which generally takes around 7–14 days.

5. Space the plants: Thin or transplant healthy seedlings approximately 18–36 inches apart to provide adequate room for vigorous vines.

6. Provide strong support: Train developing vines onto a sturdy trellis or fence. Vertical growing helps accommodate the extra-long fruits and can promote straighter growth.

7. Water consistently: Keep the root zone evenly moist during flowering and fruit development, but avoid leaving the soil continuously saturated.

8. Harvest at the right stage: Pick gourds while young and tender for culinary use. For natural sponge production, allow fruits to remain on the vine until fully mature and the interior becomes fibrous.
