GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare the Soil: Choose loose, fertile, well-draining soil and remove stones, debris, and compacted material that could interfere with healthy root development.
2. Sow the Seeds: Direct sow seeds approximately 1–1.5 cm deep in their permanent growing location because radishes generally perform best without transplanting.
3. Choose the Right Season: Plant during early spring or late summer through fall when cooler temperatures encourage good root formation and quality.
4. Water Gently: Keep the soil evenly moist during germination without allowing the planting area to become saturated or waterlogged.
5. Thin Seedlings: Once seedlings become established, thin them to approximately 5–10 cm apart to provide adequate room for round roots to develop.
6. Provide Sunlight: Grow plants in full sun to partial shade, preferably with around 6 hours or more of direct sunlight under suitable temperatures.
7. Maintain Moisture: Water consistently throughout root development because prolonged dryness or irregular watering can affect root texture and quality.
8. Control Weeds: Remove weeds carefully to reduce competition for moisture, nutrients, sunlight, and growing space without disturbing developing radish roots.
9. Monitor Root Growth: Check developing roots as plants approach maturity and harvest promptly once they reach a desirable size.
10. Harvest: Pull radishes when roots are firm and well developed; slice them open to reveal their characteristic colorful pink to reddish centers.
